Gain confidence and become the protagonist of your life!
According to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, if you trust yourself, you inspire trust in others.
Otherwise, they will reasonably agree with you that you are not worthy of their respect.
Remember: people want to see you positively—provided you have self-confidence. Self-confidence is the antidote to fear, negativity, and even anger.
So, what is self-confidence?
Self-confidence is not being afraid to express your opinion.
Self-confidence is making reasonable demands and asserting yourself.
Self-confidence is defending your actions and views with passion when others try to sideline you.
Self-confidence is knowing that you can acquire skills you do not yet possess.
Self-confidence is having persistence and working hard to achieve your goals.
Self-confidence is expressing negative emotions in a constructive way—for both yourself and others.
Self-confidence is the strength to ask “why,” so you can take responsibility for improving things.
Self-confidence is the best choice. But be careful not to confuse it with arrogance. Arrogant individuals ignore any possibility other than success, as they exaggerate their self-image and capabilities. Self-confidence does not mean certainty of success—it means giving your best. That is the difference.
Building a strong character cannot happen overnight—it requires consistent effort.
A powerful strategy to strengthen your confidence is to focus on one part of what scares you and accomplish it, instead of being overwhelmed by the whole.
At the same time, reward yourself for every small victory. A walk by the sea, a good meal, a few moments of relaxation—these are always welcome gifts and a boost to your confidence.
Finally, realize that failure and mistakes are an integral part of success—not the opposite of it. With a clear plan, patience, and dedication, you will achieve your goals.
As Dale Carnegie said:
“If I have to make a hundred mistakes to get where I want, then let me start making them right away.”
